Brock Takes Golf Lessons

Brock has been asking to take golf lessons forever.  Back when he was in first grade we received a flyer from the Boys and Girls club, but we were too late to sign up.  So I thought I would just wait until the next flyer.  But one never came, I would call the Boys and Girls club several times to find out that either the session had already began or they said they would contact me when one would start.  They would never call me back.  Well two years later another flyer came home and we jumped at the chance to sign Brock up.  He was so excited.  So each week for 6 weeks he would go to Summerly Golf course for group golf lessons.

These pictures were from his last day.  They had pizza for the kids and then they handed out cute golf trophies that were piggy banks and shirts.  Brock loved his trophy and shirt.
They were having a little competition to see which kids could hit golf balls through hula hoops they were holding.  No one was hitting them through so they lowered the hoops.  Still no one was getting them through really, but Brock was one of the few kids that did.  He won a golf ball for doing so.  I was so proud of him.
And as you can see he was proud of himself too.
I was so glad he finally got to do this.  It has been hard finding sports that he is interested in so I was glad to find he enjoyed golf. Especially since Clint plays golf, it will be something they can enjoy doing together.
