I can't believe Daxton is 6! Well I can, he definitely seems older at times. Oh how I love this kid, he is so good and helpful and responsible. He was so excited to turn 6. This was his first birthday being in the bunkbed and the balloon situation was tricky, but I made it work and he didn't notice them until he woke up in the morning and he loved having his birthday reminder above him.
He couldn't wait to open his presents.
He didn't ask for much, just 3 things, which made it easy for me. A Mario shirt.
A hat and a video game. All these things I thought were a little old for a kindergartener to want, but like I said he acts older than he is and he was happy.
His birthday breakfast request was Costco's pumpkin muffins.
Crew playing with Dax's gift.
For dinner Dax wanted to go to McDonalds. I'm not a huge fan of McDonalds and it was funny because when we were heading to dinner he said, "Mom, it's my birthday and I want to go McDonalds so you can't say no", I thought it was so cute, because I usually shoot them down when they suggest McDonalds when we want to grab a bite to eat. But his wish was our command and all the kids were so excited about it.
His other birthday request was to attend a football game. Well he lucked out, his birthday fell on a Friday this year so we took him to our local high school football game. He was so excited, he had talked about it all day. He is really getting into watching sports these days. It was fun hearing the kids cheer on the team and watch the game.
Even Mckynlee had fun, she mainly just wanted to watch the cheerleaders and was excited to find out that mommy was one once before. She now says, "I want to be a cheerleader just like you mom".
Crew chillin' with dad watching the game. Clint's parents also joined us at the game.
After the game we headed back to our house where Dax opened his gift from his Grandpa and Grandma McDowell. The Star Wars Lego he wanted!
And then, instead of a birthday cake he requested pumpkin pie for his birthday. This boy loves pumpkin. We were out of candles so he just got one candle to blow out.
I'd have to say he had a pretty good birthday. We love you Dax, Happy 6th Birthday!
