We had a great Halloween this year. We started it off with the school parade. The boys were so excited to get dressed up in their costumes for school. Here is Brock with his buddy Aiden.
Mckynlee and Crew watching the parade.
Daxton the Phantom!
Megatron Brock.
Daxton's class.
I got to help out in Dax's class for his class party. Here they are enjoying their Halloween treats. They got so much stuff and trick-or-treating hadn't even begun.
We then had a little Halloween get together at our house. Our friends the Cooks were visiting from out of town so we had them over along with some of our other good friends for some taco soup, quesidillas, hot cider, witch's brew apple juice and pumpkin bread pudding. My mom had done the apple juice thing with the dry ice and I thought it would be cool to do for the kids. It was fun to watch the smoke come out of the cauldron, but I didn't realize it would make the juice carbonated, my kids had no desire to drink it after that (they aren't soda fans). It least it gave us that Halloween feel.
All the kids, 20 to be exact. It's funny to think that when we all first met and started hanging out there was only 9 kids between us. 4 to 5 years later we know have more than doubled our group.
Some shots of the kids in their costumes before we headed out trick or treating.
Dax got sick of his mask by the time school got out. He didn't wear it trick-or-treating.
Mckynlee playing with Mazzi and Easton before we headed out, with Crew trying to join in the fun.
By the end of the night my kids could barely hold their buckets, they were overflowing. People would just give them handfuls at each house they went to. We have way too much candy, most of it will probably end up in the trash. It's all in the experience though and we had such a great Halloween.
