We celebrated Crew's birthday with friends and family on Sunday, but today was his official birthday. Today my baby turned 1! This year has flown by way too fast. He has been such a good baby and now is not much of a baby anymore and it makes me sad. We had fun celebrating his first year of life.
He got the traditional ballon above the bed, his first and he loved it.
We already have so many toys, if it were up to Clint and I we wouldn't have got him anything, because he has enough, he already got a ton from his birthday party and frankly he doesn't care. But, to appease the siblings we got him one gift.
As you can tell his brothers and sister were more excited about the present than him. Though he does look annoyed that they are trying to take over in the above picture.
But, for only getting one gift, it was the perfect gift. He absolutely loved it and wanted to play with it all day. It was a train that he could ride or push and it came with blocks with letters on them and he could put them in little slots to hear or learn the letter or put them in the top of the engine down a shoot and they would shoot down into his seat.
His siblings like the toy just as much as he did and tried to take over, but he wouldn't let them.
Since we already did the cake and party hoopla we just did a small bowl of ice cream with a spiderman candle on his actual birthday, and he of course was fine with that.
It was a simple but sweet day. (note the bruise on the cheek, he got that at church a door opened and hit him in the face, poor guy). Anyways, Crew we love you so much! You are the light in this family. We all adore you, you complete this family. We love your cute blonde curls, and cute noises. We feel so blessed to have you born into our family. Happy Birthday little man!
