Crew's 1st Birthday Party

So, to celebrate Crew's 1st Birthday we had some friends and family over for a little birthday party.  On Pinterest I had seen several one year old cookies and milk themed birthday parties and I loved the idea so I decided to go with that theme.  I didn't spend nearly as much time on the party as they did, but I had fun taking some of their ideas and putting together Crew's party.
So, I made and bought a whole bunch of different kind of cookies as refreshments for the party.

I also bought these flavored milk straws our guests could use to drink with their cups of milk.  And I bought Dejong Dairy's chocolate milk.
Here is his cake I made him.

I made his birthday banner with this cute circus font I found online and then I put pictures up of each month of his first year of life.

Crew with this buddies Cohen and I think Sabrina (or Whitney Amy you might have to correct me).  The babies loved the bucket that we kept the milk in because of the ice.  I think they liked the ice more than the cookies.

Lyric, Macie, Mazzi and Carson enjoying their oreo pops.
The birthday boy!

Time to open presents.

Then it was cake time!

Not so messy at first.

Then he realized how good it was.
And then my favorite- he decided, "Who needs hands?" and just stuck his face right in.  It was hilarious.

Grandpa McDowell making him laugh.

Time to get all cleaned up.

All better.

Crew and his siblings playing with his new gifts.  I think Brock, Dax and Mckynlee were more excited about Crew's gifts than he was.  Though Crew loved that they were all playing and interacting with him.
Looks like he had a pretty fun party.
