Our friends, the Cooks, were still in town and wanted to get a beach trip in with all their friends before they left back to cold Seattle. So we all headed to Balboa Beach down in Newport to spend time with friends and play in the sand. It was an overcast day, but not too cold and the kids had a blast.

Ryan Nelson had just been to China and brought back his kids this fun kite. Everyone gave it a try.

My boys on top of the spiderweb there at the playground at the beach. This is Brock's new favorite activity whenever we come to this beach. He pretty much sits at the top of that web the whole time.
Crew put on Brock's goggles and I thought it was pretty funny so I had to take a picture.
Don't know where he found the racquet at, but he seems to like it. We had a wonderful time. That night us girls went out to eat with Shelley before they left back home. It was nice having them in town for 2 weeks, but we sure are going to miss them.
